Hey guys, I was just interested in knowing your favourite books that has been challenged or banned at any time. If you're not sure whether or not they have been banned the American Library Association has a number of lists here: http://www.ala.org/ala/issuesadvocacy/banned/frequentlychallenged/index.cfm . You can browse through the lists by Top Ten by year or by Frequently Challenged or Banned Classics on the left hand side of the page. My current favourite series that is not allowed in Catholic schools is "The Golden Compass" series by Phillip Pullman. It is an awesome trilogy with adventure and a new way of looking at things. Please share your favourites!
